To do any Explorer action, you have to be logged in and click the "Become an explorer" link.
When designing a plan or defining a continental sign, you can specify the access you want to give to your object, with options "only you" (noone but you can see the plan), "acquaintance" (people you added and that added you can see the plan), or "all", (anyone can reach your plan)
"Acquaintance" range for explorer profile makes your "public" profile not reachable but allows people to add you as acquaintance if they know your name.
You can share continental memos with your mutual acquaintances via the "Limited memos" available on continent page, they will appear in their explorater annotation section for the given continent.
In the schema, the access to an example explorer named Alice is explained, for the given situation:

Several actions can be done on celestial pages, especially continents (tracks): most of them will be detailed in Journal / Collection part of this page.
You can also give temporalized indications on a track (when an embedded player allows its playing), for yourself or other explorers. It can be a moment of interest, surprise or other. Several signs are available in the Explorer signs part of the continent page. To add a sign, pick the access range then click on the sign corresponding to your feeling. It will generate the object (without reloading the page), but information will not be refreshed on the list and landscape. To see the resulting visuals, you will indeed need to refresh the page.
On the continent profile, your signs will be displayed in the vertical middle, and accessible signs from others will be above and smaller.
If you don't want to be spoiled track content, you can adjust signs visibility in your exploration preferences, as follow: it is a code with 3 letters.
Common cases: to see only your own flags for every continent, the code is ANN, to see everything: AAA
The first letter is for personal visibility of your own flags, then your followed individuals, then everyone. "A" to display always flags from this origin, "N" to hide always.
Exploration plans, or explans, are the local name for "playlists": it is a list or sequence of continents (music tracks). Objective can be various: a dreamful journey, cultural walkthrough or a mood-related ambiance pool. (Note that an explan with only a linear album content have no sense, it is already accessible via the planet view.)
To generate a plan, you must create it from the Explorer cockpit (direct link to the form here), define basic informations (Ordered means that the item order has significance)
You can then add items one by one in the explan page, by giving the corresponding continent (track) in the list, then it will appear in the list.
As author, you can edit item information via the (e) link (position, continent, detail) and/or erase the landscape value via the last checkbox. You can also delete an item using (x).
Navigation journal contains trace of every step of your journey (as long as you saved it). The atomic object here is the continent, or at least its "trace" : text following the pattern "contName|starName|planetName". Existing continent, landscape and some additional informations can be attached.
Most of this journal can be populated via the injection tool from local journal or other inputs, but they can be added manually, directly from the Explorer index, or from an existing Continent via the "Now (creates journal entry)" option.
Collection flags are personal informations about a Continent: discovery, visit, appreciation. They are added directly from the continent page. They can then be seen and adjusted in the Collection page.
You can display some of your collection in a public showcase on your public profile, if it is open for all*, with a custom shelf and some predefined shelves. Its setup can be made via a link in the "Collection" page. Notice that you will have to go through this link to refresh automatic shelves if you want it to be up to date*.
* stands for information that should evolve with further enhancements.
